The numbers don’t lie. Tanguy is more and more efficient in SL, as can be seen on the table below.

from 56 World Cup points scored in SL in his 1st season 2018-19, to 158 points in the past season 2020-21. Dazzling progress. Well done!

In summary this season: his best ranking was 6th in Adelboden, only a few hundred of seconds from the podium. In all 4 top 10 (8, 6, 10, 10); 2 top 20 (18, 20), and a 21st row. Good runs!

From its very good results, a better bib at the start of the races according to:

Tanguy is now 19th on the WCSL (start list) and we can imagine that he will join the second WC group at the start of the 2021-22 season after a few races, to be followed.

Unfortunately, despite his selection in the Swiss SL team for the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Cortina, Italy, he was unable to participate in the SL being the 5th qualifier (only have 4 can be at the start)

Assessment: totally successful season for Tanguy, with the initial objectives achieved such as: improving his performance (1x very close to the podium), gaining consistency/stability (only 1x DNF1, and 2xDNF2 over 11 official races), improving his condition/physical resistance . Needs for improvement: better management of soft and/or salty snow conditions, being able to cut the ski on less steep slopes, optimize / operate the right choice of equipment. Continue to progress in GS.

Good rest / vacation before starting final exams for a Masters in Computer Science, Dartmouth University, USA.

We are already looking forward to next season and a possible participation / medal in the 2022 Beijing Olympics with a Swiss SL team full of ambition.
