A small step in the right direction: 20th with bib 42

Tanguy made a good start to the 2023-2024 SL World Cup season. With bib 42, he qualified for the 2nd run (29th) and climbed 9 places to finish 20th.

There were a number of satisfying performances:

Tanguy finished both runs with a solid, stable and relatively efficient ski. In fact, he set almost the fastest times on sectors 2-3-4 of the 2nd run.

Despite a type of snow that’s obviously ideal for ATOMIC skis, he achieved his goal of finishing both runs, taking the top 30 in run 1, and climbing back into the top 20 in the end. BRAVO

Still a relatively slow starter for the first 10 gates in diesel mode, but we prefer to see that because it allows him to get going, and do two full runs.

His collaboration with Wolfi (Wolfgang Auderer, Swiss Ski Trainer) and Atomic is proving to be a good choice in view of his successful autumn preparation and his skiing in the first race. The program continues with training in Sweden, then Val d’Isère (WC SL) on Dec. 10 and Val di Fassa (EC SL) on Dec. 17 and Obereggen (EC SL) on Dec. 19 before Madonna (WC SL) on Dec. 22.

A positive period enhanced by his birthday, a step in the right direction.
